What is Rancho Palomino?

Rancho Palomino is a private family farm. Located in Santa Barbara. Visitors are hosted by native Santa Barbara husband and wife George Bustillos & Sadie Stern. On a lush acre just minutes from Downtown Santa Barbara. The lovely Tuscan-esque farm. tucked in a canyon of the beautiful foothills near the Historic Mission, Botanic Garden, Natural History Museum, Seven Falls Trail is a quiet heaven bursting with all the beautiful sounds of nature. 

A small farm with personality and love of everything related to food, animals and art...Rancho Palomino is a place where personal enrichment in natural arts are celebrated. Offering something to both professionals and beginners alike, this is a unique place to nurture and expand your individual interests. Sadie and George have opened up their home to welcome you they share their tools, materials, equipment and the fun of urban homestead farming. 

"We started with a beautiful vision and have made it reality. We have created a wonderful place to share. We are growing organic food and offering access to our private small scale family farm. We believe farms offer many mental and physical health benefits. We offer visitors the opportunity to participate in a variety of personal enrichment activities on the farm. Our focus is in the arts including culinary, ceramics, studio, old world and the art of animal husbandry." 

Artist and long time equestrian Sadie Stern-Bustillos has been riding the Santa Barbara trails all her life. Her Grandfather Donald Friedman Owned a ranch on Kellogg in Goleta where she had her first horse at age 7.  Her passion for having a farm and stable was born at her Grandfather's ranch riding through the orchard of walnuts and avocados. Sadie and George have two little cowgirls ages 9 & 13, who have also competed in Western Gymkhana riding competitions. It is easy to fall in love with this friendly family and what they offer our community. Every animal on the farm is rescued and they will tell you the heartwarming stories of every one.
